travelogues for... Paris

Vintage Paris, part 1

Back in Heidelberg at my favorite little second-hand shop, Second Chance, I picked up three little paper envelopes filled with several miniature postcards. Each was showcased a particular city or scenic area. I believe they were purchased by tourists as keepsakes back in the days when cameras (and certainly camera phones) were not ubiquitous, as they are today. ┬áThis first series is a collection of postcards from Paris. But not just any Paris…I believe it is the Paris of the 1920s and 30s. The Paris Woody Allen painted so beautifully in Midnight in Paris. And ┬áthe Paris of many our dreams.
